Clay Osborne

Founder and President, True Insights Consulting, LLC, Rochester, NY

 

 

Clay Osborne, MCEC, LCSW, founded True Insights Consulting LLC, after more than 25 years in the Corporate, Education, and Government sectors.  Combining senior-level business experience with academic wisdom, Clay has been widely recognized for his talents in Executive Coaching, Leadership Development, and Organization Effectiveness.

Clay earned a BA, and MS from the State University of N.Y. at Albany, and completed the course work towards an Ed. D from the University of Mass. at Amherst.  He is licensed counselor (LCSW).

​

In 1992, Clay began a succession of leadership positions at Bausch + Lomb Inc., a global health & eye care company. He joined the company as Director of Employee Relations, and progressively served as Vice President, Diversity Inclusion & Equity, Global Staffing, Employee Engagement, and cross functional responsibility for Ethics Compliance programs. During his tenure in those roles Bausch & Lomb received national recognition for many of the programs under his leadership.

Clay worked as an Executive Coach in the Achieving Excellence Program, a signature leadership development program of NeigborWorks America in partnership with Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Executive Education.  

​

Currently, Clay teaches Human Capital Management at the St. John Fisher College Executive Leadership Doctoral Program.  He is a Minett Professor Emeritus at the Rochester Institute of Technology and previously consulted and coached at the (RIT) Leadership Institute.

​

Clay is a past Chair of the Board of the ESL Federal Credit Union in Rochester, NY, and the Center for Governmental Research.  He is active on numerous other boards, including the Rochester United Way Services Corp. the Monroe County Ethics Commission, and Home Health Care of Rochester Inc. (HCR).  

​

Clay is a founding member of the Sigma Pi Phi (Boule) Foundation and a Charter member of the RACF Foundation African American Giving Circle. volunteers on the advisory board of the Parent Leadership Training Institute, and chairs the Workforce Diversity Network; a national organization focused on diversity, inclusion and equity practices.

​

Clay is married to Dorelis Osborne and has two sons and four grandchildren. He was born in Panama, came to the US as a teenager growing up in Brooklyn New York.
